Migrant workers come to Singapore from across Asia, often to escape poverty in their own countries, attracted by the promise of better salaries here than they can receive back home. Some men want to finance their children’s education. Others are saving up so they can get married or buy a home. For some, the dream works out. But, at The Cuff Road Project in Little India, we unfortunately meet far too many men for whom the dream has turned into a nightmare.
